on november 30 2012, in  Paulsboro, N.J a train carrying various freight including multiple tanks of highly toxic and extremely flammable vinyl chloride, was derailed when crossing a small bridge which had collapsed as the train was crossing. three N.J. town ships where locked down all the citisins were told to stay in doors do to the toxicity of the gass that had escaped when one of the tanks had ruptured and dispursed all of its contents into the air. hazmat teams later determined that the gass had completely dispursed into the air making it safe to start clean up procedures so that the wreck could be cleaned up.

Hillary clinton called on israel to postpone their plan to build thousands of homes in its own occupied territory, because it will cause a setback to the efforts made to find a two-state solution between the israelis and the palestinians. following that call, the israeli minister (benjamin netanyahu) gave the green light to launch the construction of the housing complexes. it was a move that was viewed widley as retaliatory considering the palestinians had won a bid with the united nations to become a non-member observer state. israeli minister benjamin netanyahu has not yet publicly acknowledged his aproval of the construction, although a senior government official stated that the prime minister signed off on the contruction of three thousand housing units. clinton states that “ If implemented, these plans would alter the situation on the ground on a scale that makes the two state solution, with Jerusalem as a shared capital, increasingly difficult to achieve. They would undermine Israel's international reputation and create doubts about its stated commitment to achieving peace with the Palestinians."

north korean satellite launch or ballistic missle test?

north korea is planning to launch a rocket carrying a satellite between december tenth and the twenty second. the launch appears to have raised some suspicions between many other countries due to a failed launch less than a month before. it is suspected that north korea is using the satellite re launch as cover up for a ballistic missile test. south korea also claims that it is indeed a ballistic missile test.scientists and technicians claim to have analyzed and correct mistakes made in april when the rocket broke apart shortly after the initial launch. the provocation caused by the news of an impending launch has caused relations between the us and north korea to become bittered and as a result has scuppered a deal between the us and the north korean governments for a shipment of thousands of tons of food supplies for north korea’s malnourished population.

morsy recieves new constitution

egypts islamist-dominated constitutional assembly on saturday gave the most current draft of the constitution to president Mohamed Morsy. the official document will be published on sunday in the government newspapers. an eighty five man team givin the task of drafting the new constitution gave its final approval of the document on friday after twenty one hours of haggling and passing all two hundred and thirty four articals. some say that the new constitution will bolster sharia law and take away a womans right to divorce without the husbands permission. the way it is worded seems to point in the direction of a dictatorship due to morsy issuing an order banning courts from overturning any decicions he has made since becoming president.

On August, 6 2012 at 1:31 am, the National Aeronautics Space Administration, or N.A.S.A, successfully landed the rover Curiosity on the planet mars. Launched on November, 26 2011, Curiosity began its 8 month, 350 million mile journey towards the Martian atmosphere that we all know as Mars. Normally when N.A.S.A lands a rover on the moon it sends a plain old beeping signal that lets them know it landed safely and that everything works fine. With Curiosity however, the signal that was sent to earth to let us to let us know that it landed with everything in working order, was not just a signal, but the very first song (sung by The Black Eyed Peas) to ever be sent to earth from another planet..
